Do people see me as a disciple of Jesus?
In John 13:34-35 - Jesus said, "love one another," three times; he adds, "As I have loved you."
The context of these words is the setting where Jesus washed the disciples feet. Think about it - Jesus loved them and served them even with all of their insensitivity - they had missed the fact that no one was there to wash feet, so Jesus stepped in; their lack of maturity - they were arguing over who was the greatest; their over confidence - Peter had just said he would never deny Jesus but was about to; even betrayal - Judas was about to sell Jesus out.
In other words, we are known as followers of Jesus when we love people with all of their shortcomings. Ask yourself - are you seen as a disciple of Jesus?

Thoughts from my devotions
Look to Jesus today. Don't allow yourself to be self-sufficient. We weren't created to live on our own. Love him - talk to him - spend time with him. He will help you live a rich and fulfilled life - whatever the circumstances.
And remember - you don't have all the answers - look to him and point others to him. Don't allow yourself to become the 'go to guy' - point people to Jesus. They need him more than they need you. Help them live like you live - dependent upon Jesus.

How I want to live my life
Based on the great commandment - here is how I want to live my life.
“Jesus, please help me to live in your love today and express that love toward everyone I meet.
Let your love be reflected in every thought, attitude, decision, action and conversation today.”
I'm not there yet - but I'm headed in the right direction.
