I grew up fearing God in an unhealthy way. I have talked to so many people that have said that. It's good to get over that - and learn to live in the love of God.
But there is a healthy fear of God that is appropriate: to revere - respect - honor - kind of fear.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." Proverbs 1:7
To fear the Lord means:
- Love Him with all your being.
- He is above all else.
- He is above me.
- I listen when He speaks.
- When I know His will I do it.
- I accept His advice.
- When He corrects me - I receive it.
- I am afraid not to do what is right, just, and fair.
To live in right relationship with God opens the door of: blessing, good decisions, understanding, perspective, and right relationships.
Have a great day!

Memorize Scripture
"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:11
Is the daily memorization of Scripture a regular practice in your life? Many years ago Ginger and I began memorizing Scripture. What a treasure is in my mind. I review them regularly - re-learn them - and do my best to have one at the tip of my tongue at all times.
I encourage you - start today if you haven't. Start again - if you have waned a bit. Keep up the great work - if this is a practice of yours. Huge Benefits!!!
Read Psalm 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 19:7-11
Have a great day!
